Somebody is a lot richer Wednesday morning.
According to the lottery, someone matched all six numbers to claim the Mega Millions jackpot of $1.13 Billion in Tuesday night’s drawing.
The winning ticket was sold in New Jersey.
The winning numbers drawn Tuesday night were 7, 11, 22, 29, 38 and the Mega Ball 4. The Megaplier multiplier was 2X.
In addition to the jackpot, 11 tickets (1 Colorado, 2 Florida, 2 Georgia, 1 Illinois, 1 Indiana, 1 Michigan, 2 New York, 1 Ohio) matched all five white balls that won $1,000,000 each. A New York player won $2,000,000 with the Megaplier 2X option. And a California player got $1,058,180.
There were also 113 tickets nationwide that won $10,000 prizes, another 34 tickets won $20,000 prizes, and 24 tickets (California) players won $6,108 prizes.
Nationwide, the U.S. – Mega Millions drawing produced more than 3,693,900 winning tickets, with players winning lower-tier cash prizes worth a combined $34.24 million.

Tuesday’s billion-dollar drawing is the 5th-largest Mega Millions jackpot in history. The largest Mega Millions jackpot ever was won in August 2023 by a single ticket in Florida, worth $1.58 billion.

Before Tuesday’s win, the jackpot had been swelling after rolling over for 31 consecutive drawings, since the last time someone won the top prize on Dec. 8, 2023.
Mega Millions is offered in 43 US States, in the District of Colombia and in the U.S Virgin Islands. Tickets are $2 for one play. Players must match all five numbers plus the Mega Ball number to claim the jackpot. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350.
