After no ticket matched all six numbers drawn Wednesday night, The Powerball® jackpot has climbed into top-five territory! The jackpot rolled to an estimated $750 million ($428.6 million cash) for the Saturday, Oct. 27 drawing. Earlier one day, a single lucky ticket win record Mega Millions Jackpot at $1.537 billion.
The winning numbers in the Wednesday, Oct. 24 drawing were white balls 03, 21, 45, 53, 56, plus Powerball 22, and Power Play multiplier 2X.
There were Match 5 tickets worth $1 million sold in Arizona, Florida, Kentucky, New Jersey, New York, Oregon and Wisconsin.
The next drawing will be Saturday.
On Wednesday night, when it was at $620 million, the Powerball jackpot looked sort of puny given all the attention lavished on the $1.537 billion Mega Millions jackpot won in South Carolina on Tuesday. But with two giant prizes in one week, it was hard not to compare.
