Aura D., 60, from Panama was tired of working. She dreamed of retiring, but she simply couldn’t afford to. One day, after being inspired by an article about Scottish lottery winner Jane Park, Aura decided to sign up with worldwide market leader TheLotter, an international lottery ticket messenger service, which physically purchases paper lottery tickets in the US and Europe on behalf of people from around the world.

Barely one month later, and Aura hit the jackpot in the Florida Lotto. On Wednesday 16 August, she went to the Florida Lotto headquarters in Tallahassee to claim her prize. An eye-watering sum of $30 million, as announced in today’s press release by the Florida Lotto.

After signing up with TheLotter, Aura decided she was going to play every draw of the Florida Lotto for a month with the numbers 3, 10, 20, 29, 35 and 50. As it happens, she didn’t have much luck in the first three weeks, but then, at the final hour, her very last ticket for the Florida Lotto landed her the jackpot.

TheLotter rang Aura from London a few hours after the draw to inform her of the good news, and, although it was early in the morning in Panama, Aura went through the roof.

TheLotter hit headlines around the world when an Iraqi man scooped up the $6.4 million Oregon Lottery jackpot through the service in December 2015. In the wake of his successful prize collection in Oregon, TheLotter established its largest US operation in that state. From its many US offices TheLotter’s messengers safely and securely purchase clients’ US lottery tickets. Paper lottery tickets which are bought in the US, stay in the US. When a player wins, he or she is flown in to collect the jackpot in person with the ticket in hand.
